Fred Volpe Biography

Fred has been a resident of Oneonta since 1985. He was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1967 where he lived until he married. He was a Licensed Mechanic in Canada. When he moved to Oneonta, he joined the Oneonta Fire Department and also was employed as an adjunct professor of Italian at the State University of Oneonta.  Currently, he is on the Town Planning Board & is one pf the Town Fire Commissioners

Fred loves the outdoors and belongs to the Oneonta Sportsmen’s Club & raises pheasants.

He and his wife, Ginger, own and operate a Quarter Horse Farm.

Fred is the proud father of 3 sons, Daniel, Connor and Spencer, and a daughter, Sarah.
