Starting Your Real Estate Career
Requirements for New Agent Licensing are:
- be at least 18 years of age.
- be a citizen or be a legal permanent resident
- have no felony convictions
- complete the 75 hour Qualifying Course
- pass the NYS Department of State Salesperson licensing exam ($15)
- have a sponsoring New York State Broker
- pay license fee of $50 for 2 years
- Successful completion of the 75 hour Qualifying Course Course requires at least 90% attendance and passing the school final exam.
